Sunday supper: Crock Pot rotisserie style chicken

A family favorite here: CP rotisserie style chicken, using a whole roaster that I paid a whopping $4.88 for
Sides will get more items out of the pantry: last can of whole berry cranberry sauce, 2 cans no salt green beans, egg noodles which will be served buttered. A simple salad and that's it.

A cherry dump cake became dessert, culling 2 cans of cherry pie filling and a box of cake mix out of the cabinets.

HIccup on the part of the seller, now resolved, pushed the closing to this week. Demo slated to take place Fri night-Sunday, electrician, contractor and plumber to start work on monday the 10th. Anxious to get the closing done, to keep to my schedule. Alerted the LL that we will not renew the lease.

Good luck and hope all will go well. Too much stress when selling, buying and moving but in the end all worthwhile.

Ha. Great minds. Our Sunday lunch is rotisserie style "sticky chicken." It's an Allrecipes recipe. One of our local stores had whole chickens at $0.88/lb., so, while my family prefers beef, chicken is on the menu for today. I will serve roasted carrots, mashed potatoes with pan gravy, and salad. I have yet to try to roast my chicken in my slow cooker. I think it would be quite convenient to do it that way on a weekday.

How do you do rotisserie in the crockpot? My hens end up floating and pale. Pale does not bother me at all; however, the sight of your hen is intriguing, something I might try.

Yum! I put on a pork roast this morning and cooked in a similar fashion.

Yay on the house moving along!
