Replenishing and getting a lurker out of the pantry

Today, I did a thorough inventory of the kitchen pantry cabinet,and the cellar pantry, followed by a cursory look into the kitchen and garage freezers. I've come up with a plan for February (see separate post). I kept in mind breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beverages, desserts.  I noted that the large jar of crunchy peanut butter in the kitchen was almost empty. Once I went into the cellar pantry, I made a point of grabbing the 2 remaining jars there. These 2 natural peanut butters had become lurkers as they needed to be reblended in order to be used. Time to address this.
 I emptied the contents of the 2 new jars and the remaining contents of the Aldi's jar into a large bowl. Using a hand mixer, I blended the 3 peanut butters back together.




I then refilled the larger, Aldi's jar and most of a smaller jar. These 2 jars join the mason jar of smooth, natural peanut butter that is already being stored in the fridge. I forsee a lot of peanut butter sandwiches in our future. No need to buy any, we need to eat this down.

CT Bargain, my post was to profile using what I have vs buying more. The 2 jars of natural peanut butter were lurking as they needed to be reblended. I inventoried the kitchen pantry, noted that the PB jar was getting low (DD has requested the crunchy style PB yet the rest of use prefer smooth, but we all eat whatever is here). I was able to get the PB rewhipped and refilled the larger jar, most of one of the smaller ones. To avoid having to repeat this process, I have refrigerated the PB. It now sits next to a Mason jar of natural style, smooth PB that I had to reblend last month.

Jan is use it up/eat it down but also time to lose the holiday weight, as well as the RX induced weight. I see a new specialist at the end of Jan, hoping to get off of this RX, which isn't working as well as before and has made me far too chunky. : (

So, no cookies at this time. We still have Christmas cookies and I have plenty of dessert ingredients on hand, should I decide to make something sweet.
