Menu planning: February 2017


The annual pantry/freezer challenge will be in full force:

2-hamburger macaroni using Italian sausage, gr beans
4-chicken rice soup, crackers
5-hotel style turkey breast, pan stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, gr bean casserole
6-planned overs: turkey tettrazini, salad
7-turkey tacos on flour tortillas, corn
9-CP calico benas, kielbasa, coleslaw
11-turkey noodle soup, crackers
12-CP pot roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn
13-fzn shrimp-crab ravioli in herbed sauce, peas, salad
14-planned overs: beef stroganoff, beets
16-baked penne with mozzarella cheese, salad, mixed wax/gr beans
18-ham bean soup, crackers
19-sausage bolognese over Farfalle, green beans, salad
20-crab-Swiss crustless (use Bisquick) quiche, salad carrots
21-turkey burgers, apple-raisin coleslaw, peas and carrots
23-baked chicken legs, rice, corn
25-lentil Italian sausage soup, crackers
26-pork chops, egg noodles, beets, apple sauce
27-tuna cakes, oven fries, coleslaw
28-CP beef stew, herbed Bisquick biscuits

I anticipate only ensuring that perishables are on hand such as carrots, cabbage, potatoes, salad items

I'm always amazed at your monthly meal planning. I can only do a week at a time due to severe lack of space and wish I could do more.

Lucy, thank you, but remember, I've done this for years, starting with just one week at a time planning. I had a small appartment, limited space for food storage (small refrigerator, few cabinets. That said, I planned meals out as I only had $70/month to feed 2 adults. It can be done, but fast forward 30 years, I'd aim for $200/month for 2 adults.
