A quiet New Year's Eve

Just 3 of us here for a quiet, family New Year's Eve dinner. Leftovers from Christmas have been dragged out (the cheese and sliced meats, crackers, cornichons, mixed nuts). I have added a shrimp cocktail ring;  a salad with mixed, baby greens, red onion, tomato and a choice of 3 dressings.

The entree is once again Tourtiere, and I've steamed a pkg of Prince Edward mixed vegetables (wax beans, green beans, carrots) to accompany.

Anyone looking for sweets can grab a cookie also from Christmas.

Have a Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We're ordering in, but will celebrate at home with a bottle of champagne already on hand, and starting with hummus & veggies. The kids have a bottle of sparkling pink lemonade to toast with. Should be fun!

We cooked a big turkey today - with butternut squash, mashed potatoes, stuffing, peas&carrots, enough for several meals....we ate today and put meals in tupperware - then stripped rest of turkey, put in freezer bags for more meals later.

Happy New Year - it is almost 9:00 p.m. and I am off to bed!

Happy New Year! Looks like a great celebration. We did appetizers for dinner and just stayed at home.
