Altering recipes to be gluten free



Tonight's fare includes Quinoa patties. Quinoa black bean burgers. Problem is, some of the ingrdients are now off of DD's food list.

I made some substitutions: oats for the bread crumbs; skipped the added garlic-onion herb blend and chose some Old Bay instead; scallions (the green part only) for the onion; all quinoa skipping the beans all together. I followed my notes, adding one beaten egg. 2 will be tried next time to help them bind together better.



I am serving these on a plate, with mashed potatoes, steamed carrots. DD gets to try the GF brownies I made today.
