Friday night pizza night!

Pizza number 1 on left: Provolone, Mozzarella, Cheddar and Parmesan cheeses, red and white onion, mushroom, bacon. Pizza #2 on right: Provolone, Mozzarella, Parmesan cheeses, onion, multi colored peppers, Pepperoni
Baked and ready to serve with a green salad, choice of sodas. There were 5 of us for supper, no leftovers remained.

I saved by making it myself vs ordering out.

Those look scrumptious! How do you make your crusts?

Florence, I let my ABM do the work:

3/4 cup water (110-115 degrees, preferably)
1 teaspoon sugar
2 Tablesppoons butter, melted or very softened
2 1/2 cups flour
1 Tablespoon yeast

If making a double batch, it'll work as well.

We officially are living on my retirement based level of income, even though I will receive full salary for 6 months. I plan on banking the difference. Not removing pizza from the dinner table, just ensuring that it gets there at an affordable cost. It took me years to perfect my pizza making skills, so why not use them? ; )

Just wondering, how long does it take you to make two pizzas?

Max, I use the ABM to make the dough, the machine does the work, it's ready in an hour. Assembling the ingredients takes just minutes. Once the dough is done, I Pam spray a pizza pan and use the assembly line method. I'll say from the minute that the dough is done to pizzas ready to put in the oven takes me about 5-10 minutes, depending upon number of ingredients. I tend to make a platter with the prepped ingredients to have them at the ready come time to assemble. HTH

Note: I paid $27 for 2 medium topped pizzas from our favorite local pizzeria, earlier this month. 2 larges, with toppings, would have probably been more like $45.

Kelly, with my arthritis, making bread by hand is next to impossible. ABM's help me so much. I only ever get them super cheap: Freecycle ssecond hand.
