This week's Farmer's market

I actually drove this time to the Farmer's market as I had other errands to do. For $16: 3 ears of corn (price was even higher this week; perhaps it is due to the heat and drought?), Summer squash, carrots, lettuce, 6 new potatoes, beets. This continues to work out much better for me than a CSA membership.

Do you cook the beet greens as I do for an extra veggie side?

Sandie, yes, in quiche, soups, stir fry. I also like them in an orange sauce, if I've amasssed enough

It really does seem that you are getting more for your money using the farmers market rather than that awful CSA last year! Glad to see it is working out!!!

I like that you can pick up what you like at the Farmers' Market. This all looks great.

I always save my spice jars in case I buy spices in bulk and need a container. They also provide spare parts!
