Crockpot Tuesday

Crockpot Tuesday will help keep the home cooler while the A/C is on: turkey chilli using fzn chopped, cooked turkey, a pint of home canned tomatoes, 2 cups cooked dried pintos, 1/2 of a large onion, chilli powder (Aldi's). Side salad with choice of dressing will complete the meal as well as option for shredded Cheddar or Jack cheese.

Your chili sounds great. I've been inspired to make some crock pot chili too. It's in the low 90's here already (110 with heat index) and it's WAY too hot to heat up the house!
Thanks for sharing your moving story. You motivate me to plug along in my home projects.

Glad to see others cook chili and soups in the summer! My stove had to be replaced and after almost a month without it, I have a new one. So now I'm thinking what I want to bake. I promised my grandsons I'd make some granola so that might be first.Oh,my mouth has been watering for a good coconut cupcake or is it carrot? Maybe both haha.I'll be busy this weekend for sure! I'm glad to see your move went well. Are you enjoying your new home? I keep thinking I want an apartment (landlord would have bought the stove!)but then everyone tells me the negatives and my house is paid for. One of these days....

Nan, we continue to eat what's on hand, including cooked, cubed roast turkey meat. Chilli was planned also as it is a bean based meal. Works for me. : )
