What's been cooking?

As previously posted, "fish on Monday" was a tuna casserole, using up the shell macaroni, a lg can of crash n burn tuna, the rest of the French's onions, a can cr mush soup, spices, carrots. A salad accompanied.

Crockpot Tuesday: turkey chilli using some fzn, cooked, cubed turkey meat, canned tomatoes, canned kidney beans. Home shredded cheese accompanied.

Wed: DD and I tried a new, local pizzeria just minutes from here. Very good and convenient. We had a mushroom-onion one. The shop opened the day before.
Thurs: DD asked if her Dad could join us for dinner as he was helping her assemble her new bed, and he would be arriving right after work, hense the dinner hour. "Hamburger and macaroni" substituting marked down, now frozen, sweet Italian sausage was the menu, garlic seasoned fzn, thun green beans accompanied.

only 1 lb of meat, but extra veggies helped to bulk it out: celery, onions, peppers, mushrooms

A huge pan of macaroni, served with Parmesan. About 1/4th remained as leftovers.

Fri became dinner for 1, I had pizza.
Franks n beans Saturday. Canned beans out of the pantry.

Expensive, butcher's hotdogs but using inexpensive rolls, beans and condiments greatly softens the blow to the budget.

homemade coleslaw rounds out the menu.
