Blog on saving money and living on a budget in CT.
I had a coupon this week for 75 cents off (which my store doubled) on Thomas' swirl bread. It was on sale for $2.99, so ended up costing me $1.49--and it's really good! I normally but rarely buy Pepperidge Farm when I buy swirl bread. This has tons of raisins and I think it's even better than the other brand. Just a lucky treat for this week! Even my husband had some and he doesn't always bother with it.
Ash Wednesday! I totally forgot. Good thing I'm a Protestant, because I don't think the beef stew we had for dinner cuts it as meatless. On the other hand, the stew did have a LOT of veggies in it, since vegetables are (usually) cheaper than meat. Got rid of 4 little wrinkly potatoes, too.
