Planning ahead: calling the Crock Pot back in service
A long day at work awaits me tomorrow, followed by 2 back to back meetings, then a PT appointment in the city. I won't be back until after 6 p.m. Ingredients are prepped now, to make the morning go fast and smooth for me. Bay leaf, black pepper, 2 garlic cloves, a large onion, 1 of the 2 lbs of pintos, the meaty ham bone from Christmas.
The pintos have been sorted, rinsed and are now soaking overnight
CP filled with other ingredients, awaiting water and the soaked beans come morning. I love coming home to a house filled with delicious smells of a cooked dinner. A simple green salad will accompany, along with choice of dressing.
