Sunday supper: simple roast chicken

 My last whole chicken was pulled out of the freezer: a marked down, 6.22 bird for $4.31 or 69/lb.


 I seasoned the chicken and used the juice of a long in the tooth lemon
 I covered the roaster in foil


so as to be ableto use the convection oven, for energy savings


Last box of prepared "stove top" off the pantry shelves (another marked down item), canned beets, a green salad with choice of dressings will complete the meal.



Planned overs on deck tomorrow with a chicken pot pie.
