Fall CSA this disappointment continues

Due to after work commitments, I arrived to my CSA pickup a few hours later than usual, but with still 1 1/2 hours left in the pick up time window. I got the above: 2 small heads lettuce, 1 large Radiccio, pea shoots, 1 lb onions, small jar picked radishes, 2 delicata squash. They ran out of the pok choi and the sunchokes. Not pleased at all about that.

Is this just a poor photo, or is some of the produce wilted? A substitute for the bok choy and sunchokes would have been ideal.

Fuzzy photo; and yes, I feel ripped off.

I don't blame you for feeling ripped off. Of the several CSAs you've joined, only one has been very good. If it is organic produce you want, you would be better off buying it as needed at the supermarket or farmer's market. I remember the year when you canned tomatoes, made jams, etc. Not this year.

Max, I still can tomatoes every labor day, only this year, I turned to an organic gentleman-farmer friend for my tomatoes. No jams as I still have lots to use up.

How disappointing this CSA has been for you! You have my sympathies.

What I meant was, the year you got so much produce that you ended up freezing and canning some of it for later use.
