Hi! I tried to post to your inquiry about what to do with berries and it doesn't seem like it showed up?? Anyway, did you ever make a Galette? It's where you pile all the berries or fruit like peaches or plums into the center of a rolled out pie crust and then fold the edges of the pie crust over the berries/fruit about two inches and pleat the crust? You just add about 2 tbsp. of sugar to the berries before placing them in the center of the crust. Finish with a egg white around the edges of the folded up crust and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes and then lower temp to 350 for another 20 minutes or so. Watch the crust so it doesn't burn (cover it with foil if it gets too brown) and watch the time because if you use berries, they tend to cook faster than peaches or plums would. I hope you try this. It is so easy but looks so elegant.
