Today's baking: use it up, and stay warm

http://www.thefrugalgirl.com/2010/05/wednesday-baking-chocolate-chip-banana-muffins/

This is a well received recipe for banana chocolate chip muffins. I am using up some of the banana purree I have in the fridge, as well as the rest of some single cream that needs to go. I made a double batch, using up 2 cups of the puree. More remains.

For the same reason, I made an apple pie today with a crumb topping. The apples needed to go, and it never hurts things to make DH a pie. He's eating a second piece already. And it made the kitchen warm!!

So odd that we are chilly and damp on June 1 - but we need the rain so bad it's tough to complain. Good job doing some baking to ward off the chill!

Is it cold where you live? Anything with bananas and chocolate HAS to be good!

Bananas and chocolate! Yum! I miss baking but I don't do it any more because of my husband having diabetes. I don't want to bake something and have to eat it all by myself. Not a good thing when you're trying to cut back on fat and calories! Ha ha! But would love to try those muffins. One day maybe.
