Humpty dumpty

While not my actual films, this is what 2 orthopedists and 2 hours if surgery got me today, Nerve block on, still a bit loopy, just glad to be  home

huge bandage on my shoulder, a bit of drainage but nothing of imprtance
the whole inside of my upper arm is a deep, eggplant color, just now starting to turn blue, green

I return to my orthopedist tomorrow-Friday. The nerve block has almost worn off, I await pain, so am medicating in advance

Wow, you must be interesting fodder for x-ray techs. Last time I had my foot x-rayed, the tech had a couple students with him, and they were just as thrilled as could be to see a pretty metal screw in my toe, where I had a bunion fixed. You would have thought it was unusual, the way they were so interested. I forget it is there myself, except when I need to bend my toe--the movement is just slightly limited. I hope your recovery is uneventful--maybe the sun will even shine while you're stuck at home.

My son got one of those in his collar bone. After the first week, healing goes pretty fast. Take it easy.

thanks for the well wishes. i am blessed with a high pain tolerance, so when something hurts, i know that it's serious. i have morphene tablets can take up to 2 pills every 3 hours. i've been taking 1 every 12. nerve block almost all gone, i know that tonight will be the worst for me, pain wise. just not having the sensation of my shoulder bones moving around is such an improvement. this certainly wasn't optional surgery
