What's been cooking?

Wednesday's supper: oven baked chicken legs seasoned with garlic and herb, salt free spices; a McCormick chicken rice mix (Dollar Tree), some fzn mixed veggies. Leftovers taken to work the next day. Funny thing-3 of us had the same thing at lunch!
Avoiding food waste Thursday: leftover baked beans and hotdogs (cut into pennies) joined some leftover, cut up apple slices (peels removed and fruit chopped), some additional "fresh" hotdogs also cut into pennies, a large chopped onion, a can of rinsed and drained kidney beans, the same of black beans, and a large can of baked beans, a cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup cider vinegar, the dregs of the jug of apple cider for a New England style beanies and weanies bake.
Here it is, fresh out of the oven. It was a cold night, this was perfect!

Friday night, only 4 of us for supper, and I filled a request: we ordered out Chinese but I advised as to the amounts to be ordered (DS tends to get crazy and I end up with a fridge full of leftovers). I budget monies/monthly for this type of occassional treat, so it's OK.

Saturday and it's a cold, raw day with steady rain. Glad it's soup day, I am planning on making a lentil soup, using the remaining hot dogs not used on Thursday.
