University of Maine's extension service: rolled oat bar cookie recipe

These are called Cranberry fruit bars, but any filling can be used. It starts with a master mix:

Rolled Oats Convenience MixMakes 10 cups
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups quick-cooking oats (not instant)
1/4 cup baking powder
1 1/2 cups nonfat dry milk
3/4 cup margarine

Here are additional recipes, and instructions. Looks like a good way to use up surplus, home made, canned preserves and to get some fruit and fiber into the twins.
