Can this be fixed?

The handle to one of my metal measuring cups broke off. Can this be fixed? In the past, I would have given it to my X, to possibly weld back together. This is a Foley brand one, and a good one. Not a great $ investment, as I bought it @ Goodwill.

I had a similar thing happen and my mechanic was able to soder it back together for me. Worth a shot.

I think my husband welded the handle back on one of mine, too. If you know someone who welds, other than your ex-, go for it, or else go back to the thrift stores and look some more. I broke an old glass 1 cup measure a couple months ago---DH bought me a brand new one, but it's not the same. The old one was 50 cents at an estate sale, but it was the right fit for my hand!!

Can you not use it without a handle. If I like it, I would not get rid of it. Brads hold better than welds. Plus, I think using a brad attacher is easier than welding. Somewhere in Lowe's you can buy something to affix brads. I saw it used on something one time, but know no more. Of course, if your husband can weld, I would go with the welding.

If your high school has a shop program, they might be willing to try it for you.

J-best repair would be a spot weld. Since DX is out of the picture, and I don't know anyone else who'ld repair this for a free (it's certainly not worth paying to fix), it looks like an addition to the recycling basket

We have a tech program-they don't weld. Good idea, however
