Next phase: insulating the flannel curtains that divide the kitchen from the dining room
today, I installed a wool panel underneath the kitchen "doorway" curtain into the dining room section of the uninsulated L shaped, enclosed porch. While the bright blue, spun polyester fabric has helped, there certainly is room for improvement. Several British blogs that I follow reference adding liners to window curtains. Since my aim is similar (energy conservation and increased comfort), I had decided to come up with some sort of insulator fabric.
this precut piece isn't quite long enough and I'll most likely add something to the bottom area, but it already is making an improvement
