Planning ahead: Sunday breakfast: Prune coffee cake



Planning ahead for Sunday breakfast, I've pulled out the ingredients needed to make a family favorite: Prune coffee cake, a very old recipe, heralding from the 1930's. To further economize, I use instant milk, margarine and "repurposed" lemon wedges. The inspiration for this baked good was the lurking jar of "breakfast prunes" aka stewed prunes that were originally a crash n burn find. Tonight's batch is a doubled recipe, as this tends to go quickly. Here's the recipe:
