Another 3 week trash/recycling run

3 weeks worth of recycling meant that the back seats of my car were filled to the brim (hard to see behind me) and there was cardboard on the passenger seat-again filled up.  Took the trash over along with the recycling, to the transfer station. $7 in trash fees. My goal is $2/fees per week so I'm ok with this. I did get rid of the mats from the front of the car (I replaced them with rubberized ones).

Not sure what the situation is with your recycling trash. Do you pay for it to be taken ? or do they pay you for what you take ?!
Yes, I know it is probably obvious!

There is no town sponsored trash or recycling collection, yet as citizens we are required to do both. Several private haulers will do it, but the cost is much more than what it costs me to do it myself. I do buy an annual sticker and with the cost of that included, my monthly trash expense is under $10. Really not bad, as I pay 20 cents/lb, and about $2.18 of that $10 is my sticker. Our trash is hauler to a trash to energy plant in a city some distance from here. The town sells our recycling and uses the $ for projects such as putting solar panels on municipal buildings. We're pretty earthy-crunchy around here. : )
