What to do with that pesky powder at the bottom of the waxed paper cereal bag?

Don't throw it out, it is still edible. I simply add it to my bread/cracker crumbs. Since our cold breakfast cereals are the healthier, not highly sweetened varieties, this is an easy solution. The empty waxed paper bag is then saved for making breaded meat dishes or wrapping sandwiches, the box recycled.
The Kix cereal powder will find it's way into a meatloaf, perhaps meatballs. Waste not . . .

I also have used cereal crumbs in ABM bread. One recipe for cracked wheat bread called for 3/4 cup of cracked wheat. I supplement or substitute the cereal crumbs for the cracked wheat, and it comes out quite similar. If the crumbs aren't small enough (i.e. shredded wheat, usually) just whirl them in the blender for a bit.
