Waste not/want not and how to stock a freezer
Dinner was a delicious, boneless roast pork prepared in the Crock Pot so as not to add to the already steamy kitchen. Dishes cleared away, the rest of the roast refrigerated as planned overs for the upcoming week. Naturally, all of the broth (roast was cooked on a bed of onion with the contents of a can of beer, herbs)was strained and now resides in a Mason jar. Once cooled and defatted, it will be frozen for a Fall gravy, stew or soup.
