When you don't have ant spray on hand . . .

Dd discovered an infiltration of sugar ants in our front entry vestibule. I don't keep ant chemical spray in the house. I know from experience that any chemical spray cleaner will do the trick, as this has worked in the past for me. I simply grabbed a spray bottle of Mr Clean:

And liberally sprayed over the ants. We waited a few minutes, then picked it all up with a paper towel and threw the now dead ants away.

Makes you wonder just what is in that stuff!

If you can locate the source of the infestation(the ant colony)use cornmeal to kill them. Put some cornmeal down. Ants are attracted to it because it's sweet but they can't digest it....so they eat it fill up and starve.
No chemicals but it takes away to kill the whole colony off.
