Planning ahead: freezer stocking

One of the deals I came across and took advantage of today, was picking up 2 marked down packages of "Meatloaf" mix. Normally $4.99/lb, these averaged 1.2 lbs or approx. $6/pkg. Marked $2 off each, this brought the packages down to closer to $3.49/lb for the beef-pork-veal mix. Once the supper dishes were cleared,DD and I set to mixing up a large batch of Italian meatball, using eggs, instant milk reconstituted with water, minced onion, Italian seasonings, black pepper, homemade (fzn) bread crumbs, home grated Parmesan cheese. I baked these off in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes before draining on paper towel. Now sorted into 3, 12 count bags for upcoming meals, they have been placed into the freezer for part of my getting ready for Summer stock up.
