Weights and measures

 While previously just eyeballing it, since I now have an actual kitchen scale, I weigh my meats for repackaging. I am pleased to note that I am very close when just guestimating-this originally weighed in at 8.1 oz before I pulled a bit off.  This is much more precise.
 I ended up with 5, 8 oz packets of beef for upcoming meals.
Instead of freezing the remaining 6 oz, I treated myself to a burger for lunch.

good for you, I do this when I buy meat in bulkd

I do the same when buying in bulk. I package it into 1/2 lb. packages.
