Lenten meal: vegetarian pasta

A Lenten meal needs to be meatless, it doesn't always have to be fish, as much as I love a fish meal, it's pricey. Tonight's Lenten meal is a simple one: Farfale with vegetarian sauce.  Ingredients:
29 oz can of C & B tomato sauce @ 67 cents, a 15 oz can of stewed Ital style tomatoes, Bay leaf, Ital herbs, salt, pepper, Spanish red wine leftover from Christmas party, celery, organic CSA garlic, the other half of the onion used last night, 2 sprigs celery.

Here's the sauce ready to cook all day in my Crock Pot. A nice, chunky sauce full of vegetables. Excellent. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese will be offered to dress the Farfale. Side salad to be served as well.

3 boys here for supper tonight, so this was a good choice. College boy gets 2 wisdom teeth extracted this morning, so soft foods are required. He's fortunate that they are both erupted and his lower wisdom teeth are missing.

YUM!
