Beans over rice

 Getting ready for crockpot Thursday: meaty ham bone from Christmas taken out of the freezer, to thaw.
2 cups or 1 lb's worth of Roman beans have been rinsed, brought to a boil, and now are "chilling" until the morning, when I will drain, rinse and bring them back up to the boil. I will then transfer them and the water to the CP along with some chopped onion, black pepper, a Bay leaf.

Tomorrow afternoon, when I return from work, I will remove the ham bone, chop the meat and return it to the beans, adjust my seasonings. More Angel Food white rice will be served underneath the beans. A nice green salad should accompany.
