College boy brought a nasty head cold to the house. He became ill, then college girl, now me. I like to push vitamin C when we are fighting colds and many would automatically turn to orange juice, which we reserve for breakfast-again for preventive measures, especially this time of year. Instead, I push citrus fruits (sadly, my youngest 2 won't eat)and we have grapefruit, oranges, clementines on hand, as well as lemon, currently being added to tea nightly for the aforementioned vitamin C boost. I also turn to my pantry, culling canned pineapple as well as selecting ruby red grapefruit juice (currently out of, college boy killed off the last bottle this morning) and canned pineapple juice. I abhor canned orange juice yet find canned pineapple very acceptable. I have 4 48 oz cans of pineapple juice in my pantry at the moment, bought some months ago at Aldi's on clearance @ 99/can. Cheaper than Aldi's fzn OJ concentrate @ $1.29, which equates the same amount of juice.
I decanted the juice into a save Tropicana OJ bottle and made a label out of scotch tape, which will easily come off once we are done with the juice.

Hope everyone in your family is feeling better soon!
Hope you all feel better soon.
I had the bright idea to stop in and visit my sister on Saturday evening. She appeared fine, but is now down with the flu. I started coughing last night and sore throat this morning. Soon as I feel better I'm going to throttle her...lol
I too have been doing this since I came down with a virus at the holiday. I also agree on not caring for canned orange juice. I prefer the fresh from Aldi over the frozen. Nasty viruses going around here as well. Take care.
I sure hope you all feel better soon.
DH and I take vitamin C all year round to keep our immune systems healthy.
